Communication: the imparting or exchanging of information by speaking, writing, or using some other medium

Listening: to hear something with thoughtful attention

Defensive: Psychology; Constantly protecting oneself from criticism, exposure of one's shortcomings, or other real or perceived threats to the ego.

Communication requires both party to communicate with each other through sharing and exchanging of ideas/perspectives/informations. Expectation of the other party to accept and remain silent will be considered as listening and no longer a form communication.

Who is the one that is more defensive or sensitive? Stating that one is being defensive/sensitive/stubborn towards the other party's claim or statement may actually indicate that the person him/herself is subconsciously experiencing or appearing to be the above mentioned in order to feel that way towards the other party.

Questioning the other party regarding their point of view may not not considered defensive, it can be regarded as a form of communication as information is being shared by the other party regarding the statement being brought up. However, by assuming that the other party is being defensive for questioning can mean that one subconsciously feel a threat towards one's self esteem, ego, etc thus resulting in a unknowing defensive attitude. But the tone and Intonation of the verbal language will have to be taken Into consideration.

But there is another perspective to this. The person may find it hard to reply thus resulting in making such remarks to prevent the other party from being affected by any unnecessary emotions.

#justsaying, no right or wrong. It's all about individual perspective.

Maybe there wasn't a change. Just that in the past, everything was tolerated, swallowed and kept inside.

Rants

Trust me, anyone would have felt the same way. Nobody likes planned plan cancelled. Especially when it's at the very last minute with everything prepared. Maybe some may feel that it's nothing but to some it may not be the case. Think about it.
